  • Respectful Communication — All interactions must remain courteous and professional.
  • Community Protection — We actively investigate complaints and remove unreliable users.

🛒 2. How It Works

Buyers:

  • Browse live listings by category, location, or species.
  • Message sellers directly via the platform to ask questions or arrange purchase.
  • Choose a payment method and agree on delivery or collection with the seller.

Sellers:

  • Post your invertebrate listings clearly, with real photos and fair descriptions.
  • Respond to buyer enquiries promptly and politely.
  • Arrange secure delivery or collection once payment has been received.

🏁 3. Payments & Delivery Rules

We want every transaction to be smooth and safe. Here’s how to do that:

  • 💳 Recommended: Use PayPal (Goods & Services) or credit card payments — these offer buyer protection.
  • 🏦 Bank transfers are accepted at your own risk. We cannot offer support or recovery for failed private transfers.
  • 💷 Cash on collection is strongly recommended where possible.
  • 📦 Overnight delivery of live animals must use DEFRA-registered couriers (e.g., BCS, DMS, Ridgeway).
  • ❗ Listings must not offer illegal species or violate DEFRA transport rules.

🔒 4. Complaints & Ratings

We take complaints extremely seriously.

  • ❌ Failure to deliver animals, repeated poor conduct, or scamming behaviour will result in account suspension or banning.
  • ✅ Ratings and feedback are visible to help build trust.
  • 🧾 All users are encouraged to leave feedback after each transaction.
  • 📩 If you experience a problem, please report it to the admin team via the Report Listing or Contact Us forms.

📝 5. Listing Rules

To keep listings helpful and relevant:

  • All animals must be captive-bred unless otherwise clearly stated.
  • Listings must include:
    • Clear species name (common and/or scientific)
    • A realistic photo of the actual animal or colony
    • Price per group or individual
    • Delivery or collection options
  • Do not post:
    • Duplicate or spammy listings
    • Listings for banned or wild-caught species
    • Ads with misleading titles or images
  • All listings must be in English and UK-relevant.

💬 6. Messaging Etiquette

Keep it professional and polite:

  • Do not spam users with unsolicited messages
  • Do not pressure others to buy or sell
  • Use clear language — confirm payment, delivery, and care details before proceeding
  • All harassment or abuse will result in a permanent ban

🛡 7. Protect Yourself

  • Always confirm delivery arrangements, payment terms, and refund policy before sending money.
  • Avoid buyers or sellers who are vague, pushy, or unwilling to provide photos or answers.
  • If it seems too good to be true — it probably is.
